Dating coaching for singles
Always the wrong one, or always bailing out? This is not about fixing you. It is about understanding why dating keeps stalling at the same point, and what you need to break through — in English, in the Amsterdam area or online across the Netherlands. A partner should add something beautiful to your life. That starts with understanding what's weighing on you.
Your (future) partner doesn't need to join. This is individual coaching.
Your story, your pace
Sometimes the first step isn't talking together, but first getting clear about what you want yourself. Who are you in a relationship? What are you carrying from earlier experiences?
I give you that room. No pressure, no expectations. Just you, a safe place, and the time to figure out what works for you. A partner is meant to add something to your life. Knowing what you actually want is where it begins.
What is dating coaching?
Dating coaching is individual coaching for those who are single and find dating heavy or confusing. It's not about tricks or profile texts, but about the patterns underneath dating: who you fall for, when you pull away, and what stops you from making real contact.
Many people recognize this: after every disappointing date, the same question. Was there simply no spark, or was I behind my own mask again, facing the other person's? That distinction is hard to untangle alone. Together we look at it without judgement.
This is coaching: I ask questions, challenge you, and help you see your own patterns clearly. We go through your "love resume" and look together at why it isn't going the way you'd want. The change comes from you; I help you find the direction.
And to be clear about what this isn't: it's not pickup coaching, and it's not matchmaking. I won't hand you lines to use or set you up with anyone. We work on you — the patterns, the pulling away, the fear that rises when it gets close — so that when you do meet someone who fits, you don't quietly sabotage it. That's the part no script or introduction can do for you.
My approach
I don't assume what you should want. Some people are looking for a lasting relationship; others first want to understand why they keep ending up in a . Both are valid. We start with your question, not with an ideal picture.
We work with concrete situations: a date that seemed good and still went nowhere, a pattern in which you're always the one who gives too much, or the fear that rises the moment something threatens to get serious. We explore what happened and what came up inside you, so you see it coming next time.
Recognising patterns
We map out who you fall for and when you pull away, so it stops being chance and becomes a choice.
Chemistry or old fear?
Learning to feel the difference between real attraction and a familiar, unsafe pattern dressed up as a "spark".
After a loose relationship
Space to process something that was never "official" but still hurt, and to come out of it wiser.
What can you expect?
The work begins with a free, no-obligation intro call where you tell me what's going on and we see whether it clicks. Only then do you decide. Session length, frequency, and evaluation work the same whichever path we take. You'll find more on the page about my approach.
Between sessions you'll get small reflections or assignments to take along, for example deliberately doing something differently on a next date and noticing what that does to you. That's often where the real lesson sits: not in knowing, but in recognizing.
Dating as an international here has its own difficulty. You are reading signals in a culture whose rules you learned late — Dutch directness that sounds like rejection, an invitation that was never meant as a date — and the pool of people who might stay is smaller, because half of them leave when a contract ends. We work with that as it is, rather than pretending the problem is only your pattern.
Sessions are in Dutch or English, at the practice in Uithoorn, online, or on location — see how dating coaching works for singles in Amsterdam.
Paying for it is straightforward, though not what everyone expects. Dating coaching falls outside Dutch health insurance, so it is self-pay for everyone, on Dutch or foreign insurance alike: no referral, no waiting list, no claim, nothing recorded as care. You pay per session up front, by payment request or bank transfer, and the intro call is free. The pricing page has the rates.
